Yarn Along..

Working on a special request for my aunt..
(Good Morning A.C.)

It's the Turkish Bed Sock pattern with some of my hand dyed
merino / cashmere yarn.  Calling this one "Lollisock"..

Dyed a bit of merino /silk roving from the stash.

It is spinning up like a dream..

From the dye pot...

These lovelies have flown to new homes..

"Chute and Pool"

"Spring Thaw"

"Summers Slumber"

"Bookworm"

I will be adding new yarns to the shop this weekend.
So grateful for all the love and support.

My heart is full.

Wishing you a most wonderful rest of the week..

Yarn Along..

KNITTING:

Couldn't resist the call of the Zauberball..
Gosh their yarn...

Loving the Turkish Bed Sock Pattern from
Churchmouse Yarns and Teas..

Working on the second sock now.
So happy to say that the first sock actually FITS.
YAY!

Only mentioning this because the last sock I tried (years ago)
could have been used for a golf club cover.

FROM THE DYE POT:

"Rose Cottage"

and

"Desert Solitaire"

have flown off to their new homes.

MAIL CALL:

The gorgeous set of hand carded punis I ordered arrived from
Colorway: "Seaweed"

Holly's work is beautiful and I can't wait to spin them.
Saving them for when the Turkish spindle is free.

READING:

Just ran across a used copy of Spin to Knit by Shannon Okey.
Looking forward to checking it out.

Have a great week everyone!
Happy Creating..

Yarn Along..

The Quaker Yarn Stretcher is coming along nicely..

...stretcheth...

I've used 3 different hand spun yarns in it so far and it has been
fun seeing the colors come together.

From the dye pot and blooming in the Etsy shop:

"Spring Tea Party"

"Hummingbird"

In these gray days of winter it feels so good to wrap
myself in color.

Wishing you all some winter cheer as we woke to
seven inches of snow today!

Spunday..

This Spunday I am working on some alpaca.

Our little spinning group homework is to spin an ounce of 100% alpaca.
Finding it a bit easier to manage if it is blended a bit and made into rolags.

Spinning it on the adorable Lark turkish spindle from Ed Jenkins.
Gosh, this spindle is fabulous..
Borneo Rosewood!

Wishing you a happy Spunday and hope you can carve a little
time to enjoy some fiber today..

Quaker Yarn Stretcher..

Not really feeling my current knit so I decided to take a break..

Hand spun always makes me feel better!

The pattern is the Quaker Yarn Stretcher on Ravelry.  It is
a quite enjoyable knit.  Fun to mix in several balls of hand spun
and watch the colors change.

..feels better already!

Happy Knitting..
